Delbert Watkins

Delbert R. Watkins is the Executive Director and founder of Delbert Watkins Ministries. Licensed to preach the gospel in 1993, Pastor Watkins served as the Family Life Minister of Elizabeth Baptist Church (Bishop Craig L. Oliver) and as the Minister of Music for the Jackson Memorial Baptist Church (Rev. Dr. Gregory Sutton) prior to being called by God to establish Larger Than Life Christian Ministries in 2003. He currently serves as the Director of Music at Body of Christ Church in Raleigh NC (Pastor Kelvin Redmond).

An anointed preacher and teacher of God’s Word whose practical examples and life application allow him to reach the masses with clear-cut understanding and sincerity, Pastor Watkins specializes in spreading God's message of Forgiveness and Restoration through the power of Jesus Christ in order that you might reach your God Given Purpose, Potential and Destiny. He delivers a timely message that is Biblically Sound and Life Changing. Using his gift of teaching, Pastor Watkins also serves as an Educator in the Durham Public System, teaching Technology, Engineering and Design to Middle and High School Students.

Pastor Watkins is a recording artist, author, songwriter and musician with a heart for God and a sincere desire to dwell in His presence. Known as the Minstrel's Mentor, Pastor Watkins has worked and recorded with numerous artists including Kirk Franklin, Rodney Posey, the GA Mass Choir, Fred Hammond, James Bignon, Jagged Edge, Dorothy Norwood and the Late James Cleveland. Pastor Watkins has also written and directed two musical drama productions, “A Christmas Story” and “Real Love.”

Delbert Watkins Ministries has developed programs such as For Pastors Only, P.L.U.S. and Call of the Levite to provide support, resources and training for Pastors and Leadership globally. Likewise, Pastor Watkins is a sought after public speaker, mentor and trainer for Pastors, Musicians, and Leaders in the key areas of Worship, Leadership and Community Development.

Born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, Pastor Watkins, the 5th of five children, studied business at Indiana University at South Bend and graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Marketing Management, and the Central Carolina Teaching Initiative with a Certificate in Technology & Engineering Education. He and his lovely wife Kalendria are the proud parents of Morgen Ashley Watkins.
